God is there

by Emily

 The sea's may be raging
but God is there.
The storm's may be fierce
but God is there.
The sun may shine, the clouds may darken
but I know
God is there!

~ My Father ~

By Esther

He is my eye in the midst of the storm,
my comfort when nothing is warm.

He's my shelter from the rain,
a comfort in a time of pain.

He is my stronghold when I'm sinking low,
my home when I have no place to go.

He's my counselor when I have no one to turn to,
my cheering up when I'm down and blue.

He's my Savior, Omega, and King,
my voice to whom I sing.

He's my Prince of power,
my turn to for every hour.

He is there when no one else would bother.
He's not just anyone,

He's my father.

~ Noah, The Ark, and God ~

By Esther

Noah do me a favor if you could

Make me an ark out of gopher wood

This favor of Noah God did ask

Old Noah was up to the task

For 120 years the people made jokes

Noah and his family put up with the folks

When it was finished the sky was blue

In came the animals two by two

Then when God shut the door Down came the rain it began to pour

It started out as a little stream

When it got larger people began to scream

They ran for the hills this was their fate

For those mocking people it was too late

When the rain stopped dripping from the sky above

Noah sent out one of the dove

It came back with a branch in its beak

They were on land by the end of the week

They were on land the water was low

God made his promise with a rainbow

NO other flood will be like this one

Thanks to God and his only Son

~ God's Coming ~

By Esther

As we look to the sky and see God drawing nigh.

As Gabriel blows his horn a thousand years we will mourn.

As God shows us our lives there is great regret in our eyes.

As we enter heavens gate, for some it is too late.

As we sit down to feast, Jesus Christ considers himself least.

Consider this my friend, serve Jesus till the end.

~The Lighthouse~

By Esther

My ship was away out at sea

At the bottom of the ocean

I thought I would be

I let the time pass as I drifted evermore

Looking out at the horizon for a glimpse of the shore

Distressed and discouraged with no other hope

I had finally reached the end of my rope

When out of the corner of my eye I saw something bright

Along the horizon there was a light

A slight bit of hope had reached my hearts core

As I gradually started rowing to what I thought was the shore

When I finally found from where the light was shining

I thought to myself it couldn’t have had a better timing

For standing there so magnificent and tall

Was a lighthouse shining for all

Since that day out at sea

A lighthouse means so much more to me

For the message it sends and the hope that it brings to the sailor lost at sea

Just follow the light illuminating from the shore

And you wont be lost anymore.

Taking Time For Others

If we always take a moment out
when others turn to us
for comfort or encouragement
or cheer,
When they have feelings to express,
or problems to discuss,
or when they simply need
to have us near,
If we always take a moment out
to be concerned and kind,
to offer warmth,
to help and share and give,
If we always take a moment out
for others...then we'll find
there'll be more pleasure
in each day we live.

He's Always There

By  Esther

Through the tears and the pain
Through the sunshine and rain
When you're lonely and what you have is in the mirror
Always look to Jesus, he's all you need to fear
Sometimes our trials and troubles, they are hard to bear
Just take them to the cross, we can always leave them there.
The treasures of this world, though a comfort they may seem
They tend to pass us by, just like a little stream
When we put our hope in Jesus Christ alone
We can always reach him though not by telephone
Just bow your head to Jesus and say a little prayer
And in the end you'll find he's always there.
